On October 9, 2019, LGU-Bayawan City led by City Mayor Pryde Henry Teves officially turned over the new Bayawan DRRM Command Center building to City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Engr. Edward Ryan Torreda.
This event was also attended by city councilors, department heads, City Public Safety Office employees headed by Dr. Cindy Salimbagat and Board Member Jack Raymond in support to Bayawan's newest development.
The 2-storey CDRRM Command Center building includes the CCTV Command Center and the Local Flood Early Warning System, which is widely regarded as the city's best practices.
Engr. Torreda expressed his gratitude to Mayor Teves' for prioritizing and giving support programs in disaster preparedness.
During that time, Mayor Teves also outlined plans for further development in the area to make a cleaner and safer city for all.
This project has a budget 13.5 million from local CDRRM fund.
