Patience vs.  Restlessness

Discussed by Human Resource Mgt. Office/Personnel, Oct. 13, 2003

Accepting a difficult situation without giving a deadline to remove it

Rewards of Patience

Maturity

One measure of maturity is how long one can wait between achievement and reward

Hope

Hope is the anticipation of good things to come. It is an important ingredient to a happy life. The enjoyment of a thing is increased when one has waited a long time to receive it.

Patience in the home includes:

1.Dealing  with difficulties as character building opportunities instead of seeking to solve the family problems by making more money

2.Being willing to make the most of a limited income

3.Giving up immediate wants if they do not help the family as a whole

4.Children being diligent to do their homework well even if the subject or teacher is difficult or unpleasant

The Monarch Butterflies

Monarch butterflies migrate hundreds of miles to their wintering areas. There, the temperature needs to remain close at 32 degree Farenheight. This is warm enough so that the butterflies do not freeze but cold enough so that they remain inactive. The monarchs must wait and rest through the winter if they are to have enough strength for the long spring flight back home.
