THE BAYAWAN CITY SEAL

The seal is circle in shape with a small circle in the middle.  On the upper portion of the  outer circle are  the words CITY OF BAYAWAN which is the official name of Bayawan as a city as provided by its charter in RA 8983, while  the bottom portion are the words OFFICIAL SEAL, all in  a white background, with the circle lines in black.

The inner circle will show a shield-like figure, divided into quadrants, with a smaller circle in the middle with a wheel around it. The year 2000 A.D. is indicated at the bottom, the year Bayawan obtained its charter as a city. The shield is dominated by the basic colors of the Philippine Flag- red, white, blue, yellow and orange, which colors symbolize the character of the Bayawanon as a Filipino who is courageous, patriotic and righteous.

The quadrants of the shield are described as follows, clockwise:  The first quadrant shows a coconut tree overflowing with fruits on a yellow background, symbolizing the flourishing coconut industry. The second quadrant shows a pair of cut sugar cane stalks on a red backdrop which symbolizes the contribution of the sugar industry to the city’s economy. The third quadrant on a blue backdrop is a bundle of harvested rice ready for threshing, symbolizing the rice and corn industry as the staple food of the ordinary family and how important this industry is to the economy of the city. The last quadrant shows a tuna fish seemingly flying over the blue sea which symbolizes the bounty of the sea and the contribution of the fishing industry to the economy of the city.

The circle in the middle is  colored orange like the sun, and  represents the Citizens of Bayawan, with the wheel around it representing  the Leaders as  drivers of progress and  development in  the City. It reminds us that our economy sits on an agriculture platform supported by the four basic industries; and that progress and prosperity in Bayawan  can be attained if the full potentials of the City will be harnessed through a united effort of an empowered citizenry.pfv.

Maayong adlaw sa tanan. I hope ok na ang tourist destination nato dinha. Last year nianha kami dinha sa Tourism office pero dili nila mai-suggest ang Niludhan Falls kung safe ba ang road didto. How i wish madugangan ang mga local destinations nato dinha ug updated sab ang tanan. Ang Boulivard nato, atong Boulivard ang pinaka longest sa Pilipinas pero naunsa naman  intawon mura ug gipasagdan ug gi-apilan pa ug Tyange-Tyange. Wa ko kasabot pero anyway its only 2 days in a week lang naman pero intawon nanimaho ug hugaw ang nahibilin sa area. Sana maging aware ang tanan. As you heard Palawan is the Last frontier in the Philippines number 1 sila sa Cleanliness and World Tour Destination sab. Maayo unta ang tanan magpakabana aning botanga dili pa baya ulahi ang tanan.... Wake-up Bayawan...

Dear Mr./Miss Schweis:

I believe you are referring to what the area was two to three months ago when there where vendors who choose to stay beyond the market days which is already disallowed.  The matter was already addressed by the City Public Safety Office.

Also, this office has assigned a staff to maintain cleanliness of the  paonay area and a foreman ensures the cleanliness is maintained throughout the market days.
Regarding the bad smell, it was already addressed.  Perhaps you were present when declogging of the portalet is being undertaken, during which naturally, an objectionable smell can be observed.

I am personally reminding the foreman to conduct periodic monitoring of the area and ensure that its cleanliness is maintained at all times.

Also, I have personally requested the City Administrator to remind the City Public Safety Office to conduct regular inspection so that the policy which disallows settling in the paonay area is strictly observed.

I enjoyed reading the account of what went on in the city of Bayawan during the holiday season of 2011. The writing style is superb and professional, a mark of very good education.May your work and effort to represent Bayawan in cyber space continue; it made me feel connected to my past which i miss for 44 years of being away. As for the Animal Center LGU Bayawan City thru the City Agriculture Office, we have no available SASSO chicken since we had already change our production into native chicken which is the crossing of SOLOHANON and DARAG native chicken of Panay.  As of today we have no knowledge who’s the supplier of the SASSO chicks.  Mr. Inocencio of Teresa, Rizal is no longer in the business for SASSO production.  He was the one who distributed SASSO breeders last 2006.  You may search in the internet for SASSO breeders.  Thank you!

2. Duna bai libring siminar about aning mga livestock business

Lain pud nako nga pangutana,
available ba ni or naa bay mga similya ug
Fresh water prawns (sugpo) sa bayawan.

Nia nakoy insakto nga puhunan, apan kinahanglan ko ug mga nindut na sources sa baboy.

Services of LGU-AI Technicians are free but has to be requested through the Brgy. Agricultural Technician. Until recently however Ali-is is not included in the service area because of problem in transporting semen in frozen state.

No fry of fresh water prawn are yet available in Bayawan since the Danapa Aquaculture facility is yet to be started.  Instead, tilapia fry are available subject also to request. 

For both subjects, free seminars are periodically held by the City Agriculture Office in coordination with the Brgy. Officials.  Reading materials are available also at the (FITS) Farmers Information Technology Service.
