HUNI is a promising local music group comprised of young artists hailing from the vibrant city of Bayawan. Formed as the pioneering batch of the Singing-Songwriting and Music Workshop organized by LGU-Bayawan in collaboration with CuadernoSS and The Belltower Project on September 2-4, 2022, HUNI has quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

In their journey to uplift the local music scene, HUNI has graced the stages of various popular bars and restaurants, enchanting audiences at venues such as Talipapa Beach Club, Handurawan Cafe, Balay ni Bob, Pepe’s Place, and Hayahay Square. Their heartfelt performances and captivating melodies have garnered widespread acclaim from music enthusiasts in the city.

With a passion for creating Original Pilipino Music (OPM), HUNI strives to showcase their artistry and promote the richness of local musical talent. Notably, they showcased their songwriting prowess by composing the much-loved Christmas station ID of Bayawan City titled “Pasko sa Bayawan,” leaving an indelible mark on the local community.

Despite being a relatively young group, HUNI continues to dedicate themselves to their craft. They are actively engaged in honing their musical skills and exploring new horizons of creativity. Currently, they are in the process of creating more original music that they eagerly anticipate releasing in the near future. HUNI exemplifies the spirit of resilience and passion within the local music scene of Bayawan City. Their commitment to preserving and promoting OPM showcases their deep connection to their cultural roots, while their unwavering dedication to their craft propels them towards exciting artistic endeavors.
